Brights DSP and Votive Box

Hi there, I'm off to demonstrate at a party today. This is the thank you gift and card l have made for the hostess.I have used Bermuda Bay card stock and the Brights DSP to make the Votive box, l have configurated the measurements from Sam Donalds http://pootles.co.uk/2014/05/26/unusual-fold-out-votive-candle-box-tutorial/ and it works just as well at 6cm increments. I used Petite Petal flowers to decorate the box and tied it up with Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon. l added Basic Rhinestones to the centre of the flowers.
The card used the same DSP. I have cut 4cms off the top of the front of the card to give a little twist . I have the made 3 flowers using Mixed Bunch, just punched straight from the DSP. I then stamped the Flower Shop and Petite Petals with Bermuda Bay ink and punched them out, layering them on top of one another. I have stuck them only half way onto the front of the card to allow a little movement.

All for now, Joanne x

Another Great Year meets Soho Subway

Hi there, I've got to admit I've not used this stamp set much, but I thought I would paper piece with it today. I matted and layered with Very Vanilla card stock and Soho Subway papers. I took a smaller piece of Very Vanilla and stamped Happy Birthday in Island Indigo I then used the same coloured ink and stamped the same saying again on a different Soho Subway paper and cut out the two scrolls and pieced them over the original stamp on the Very Vanilla card. I then stamped with Gorgeous Grunge to give some more character to the card.

I ragged the edges of the card and rolled one of the corners slightly. I added 3 Early Expresso candy dots to the bottom right corner. Thanks for looking, Joanne x

For the Birds

Hi there, here's one using For The Birds stamp set. I've tagged it with Fresh Prints DSP. I just love the colours in this DSP and have used them quite often. I used Whisper White card stock first and ran it through the Chevron Embossing Folder  and matted it onto the card. I used the Perfect Pennant Dies and the Circles Collection to make a variety of mats and layers applying them all to the card flat. I stamped the " thanks for your support" onto Whisper White CS using Crumb Cake ink and cut it out using a Chalk Talk Die. I cut another two mats from Costal Cabana and Bermuda Bay cutting them in half to give the elongated effect to the mat. I made flowers from the Petite Petals stamps and Punch using the same colours throughout.  Iadded a Red Glimmer heart to the top beak and used Chevron Ribbon, Crumb Cake Seam Binding and Linen Thread to make the bow.
Hope you like it, all for now Joanne x

The Best Things In Life

Hi there, here's what we made in Wednesdays class. It's quite a mixture but I think it's because we are getting near to the end of this catalogues life and I'm trying to cram a lot in! We started with the Feel Goods stamp and stamped directly onto the card.  We cut a piece of Epic Day This and That  DSP and put a circle aperture into it. We then stamped the paper with Gorgeous Grunge. We snipped the edges of the circle and rolled them slightly, we then rubbed over with versamark then sprinkled with pewter embossing powder and heat set. We rubbed versamark around aperture and added pewter embossing powder and sprinkled on gold glass glitter then heat set again. We used the Spiral Flower Die and the Floral Fusion Sizzlits to make the flowers. The Little Leaves Sizzlits was cut to give a few sprigs and Beautiful Wings Embosslits dotted about the card, saving a couple for the box lid. The card was finished off with Basic Pearls and Gold Sequins.
The next card was a congratulations card using the Tag It stamp set. Again we used the This and That DSP. matting and layering with pool party card stock. we used Silver Ribbon and some Silver Glimmer stars to give it a bit of bling. We added 3 Candy Dots to the bottom corner just to finish it off.You can buy any off these things from Stampin Up through me just click the buy it now button, but hurry as many of these retire on the 30th June. Thanks for looking, best wishes Joanne x

Perfect Blend meets Soho Subway

Hello there, my daughter is hoping to go to America to become an "Au Pair". She has got through the interviews etc and has just recieved some enquiries by families so I made this card with her in mind. I used the Soho Subway DSP and stamped with Early Expresso using the Perfect Blend stamp set. I stamped again on a differing paper from the DSP and paper pieced onto the cups to give dimension. I stamped  the sentiment onto a piece of Very Vanilla CS and raised it on dimensionals. I made flowers with the Spiral Flower Die and stuck them onto the cup without the sentiment. I matted the DSP onto the card  then distressed the edges of the smaller mat and layers with the Distress Tool. I used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set to add more intrest to the card. I stuck the cups down flat to the mat but slightly over lapping. I added some Crumb Cake seam binding to the right hand corner, a Petite Punch flower and a Basic Rhinestone to finish it off .
Take care now, all the best Joanne x

Perfect Blend, Simply Stars and Perfect Pennants

Hello there my lovelies, here's the cards we are making in class tonight, with a little extra thrown in!
The Perfect Blend stamp set has only just caught my eye and I love it. I've used Soho Subway papers (DSP) with it, another paper set I wasn't sure about but time after time when you see the papers in the flesh they totally change your mind.

I cut my DSP to size first. I then used the Gorgeous Grunge stamps on the top DSP to give a more distressed look. I then matted and layered the two papers onto a 15cmx15cm card, sticking a piece of Crumb Cake ribbon around the top piece of DSP before sticking it downI used crumb cake to distress the base card before matting. I torn a small piece of  DSP to make a corner highlight. I've stamped the cup several times onto card and DSP then cut them out and paper pieced them together. I then distressed the side of the cups with crumb cake to give a shadow effect. I used Petite Petals punch to make the flowers and added Basic Rhinestones to the centres. Lastly tie a Crumb Cake sea binding ribbon and attach.
I just had to use these when I saw them online. We made a small carrying case and decorated with the same DSP, Crochet lace and Petite Petal flowers on side. To the top was added a Spiral Flower. Of course the cups were filled, one with chocolates the other with coffee sweets.
The other card is male based, using the same DSP but I used Simply Stars and a a saying from Perfect Pennants. The inks used this time were, Summer Starfruit, Island Indigo and Crumb Cake.
Hope you like them. If you fancy joining our class just give me a call on 07927870576. If you would like to obtain any of the products just use the buy it now button on the side bar. All for now Joanne x

Hello Lovely

Hi, the stamp set I used today is Hello Lovely. I've used  Wisteria Wonder and Perfect Plum colours that I don't usually use. I matted and layered using the 1 inch square punch and the postage stamp punch. I used  the words from the stamp set "thank you you're the best"
I used the Basic Pearls for the centre of the squares. I used Very Vanilla to stamp on . I used Organza ribbon to finish it off.
