Million and One

Hi there following on from the graduation card here's another hedgehog and a card to go with it. They are just a bit of fun but cute as well. I stamped a sentiment from the Million and One stamp set onto Whisper White card stock with Melon Mambo ink. I then die cut the sentiment and a piece of Melon Mambo card stock with the Labels Collection one larger than the other. Add Blushing Bride DSP from the Subtle DSP pad for the base of the card. Stick down flat the sentiment to the Melon Mambo die cut then put pads underneath this to add dimension to the card, stick in the middle of the card.
Using the Petite Petals stamp and punch out a variety of flowers to put on the card. I put some Gold Twine on first at opposite sides of the sentiment. And built the flowers around this.i dotted a few Gold Sequins around the card also. I mistakenly used the old Bitty punches for the small flowers ( discontinued now) but the new Bitty punches have a lovely little flower which will work just as well. Have a great day and thanks for looking, Joanne x

Blue Ribbon stamp set

Hi, this is what we  made on Wednesday in class isnt it cute!

I used the Blue Ribbon stamp set, stamping the rosette on Basic Black card with Versamark and White Embossing powder heat setting it. The rest of the rosette is stamped onto Smoky Slate with Smoky Slate ink. I used Simply Stars embossing with silver embossing powder on Basic Black and  Smoky Slate. I used  Modern Medley (now discontinued)
and papers and the afore mentioned card stock to mat and layer the card. I used the Silver Ribbon to finish the card. Just for a bit of fun we made a hedgehog by folding a book, making a mortar board and a cute face with buttons. Thanks for looking, all for now, Joanne x

It was fabulous and l would recommend their retreats. Here's some of the cards we made.

Maritime and Hardwood

hello there, hope you are well. this one uses the Maritime papers. l used the sea scape paper first as a backing then l cut out one of the octopus and put it on dimensionals. l didn't want to use the boat that is attached to the octopus so l cut it away. ln stead l stamped the Hardwood onto Whisper White card stock using Pool Party ink pad. l cut 3 planks from the stamped piece and tore the edges to give a worn look. l used tiny brads at each end.l then placed them onto the card over the octopus so the cut away part was not noticable. l then cut out the whale crab and lobster and arranged them onto the card. A birthday sentiment in Night of Navy finishes the card. All the goods for this card can be bought through me from Stampin Up. Thanks for looking. Best wishes Joanne x

Traveler Shaker Card

The Traveler set is a great new addition to help make male themed cards team it up with the new Maritime DSP and it's a win win situation. I used the Anchor sheet of DSP and cut it to fit 15cm x 21cm I cut it a third of the way down and turned it over. I put Real Red Taffeta ribbon across the divide and just tied a knot onto the length. I used some Linen Thread to make the swag for the pennants which are punched out of differing Maritime papers and Night of Navy and Real Red. The Ship is stamped onto a circle. The same size circle with a smaller circle is die cut in Whisper White and  a contrasting Maritime paper. The contrast is then cut into 8 pieces and 4 pieced onto the white ring. The Linen Thread is then wrapped around to give it the feel of a life ring. Mini Brads are attached to the white areas this finishes off the outside of the ring. Turn the ring over and affix Acetate to the inside of the ring. Use Stampin Dimensionals touching all the way around the edge of  the frame to give the lift to the frame but to also hold the glitter and punched out stars that make the shaker part of the card. Attach the ship circle to the card first then put a small amount of Silver Glitter and the Real Red stars punched from the Itty Bitty punches onto the picture. Wipe around the edges of the Dimensionals with the Embossing Buddy to stop the Glitter from sticking to then and then take the backing off the Dimensionals and attach over the picture and Glitter etc. the sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Banners stamped in Night of Navy and die cut from the same named dies.
Thanks for looking, all the best Joanne x

Bloom With Hope and Hello There

This is using two new hostess sets as soon as l saw them l had to have them, you know l'm a sucker for flowers! I've used the new in colours Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey to mat and layer and I've used Very Vanilla to stamp onto again using the new in colours. I used Old Olive and Mossy Meadow to stamp the leaves from the Stippled Blossom set. I used Papillon Potpourri for the butterflies. The flowers are using Bloom With Hope and water coloured  with diluted colour from the stamp pads. Before l added the flowers l used the Hello There stamp, stamping with Versamark them covering with Gold Embossing powder and heat setting.

I used the Something To Say stamp set to stamp the small flower and used the new Itty Bitty Punch set just to use as a filler. Thanks for looking, Joanne x

Bloom With Hope

Hi there, hope you are well. Here's one using the new Hostess set, Bloom With Hope. I have to say this is a firm favourite from the catalogue but you know I'm a sucker for flowers. The card stock colours and inks mainly used are Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey. I stamped onto Very Vanilla card stock and water coloured the flower with Blackberry Bliss ink. To make the back ground I used a Work of Art stamp and stamped with  Hello Honey, Crushed Curry and Daffodil Delight.
I decoupaged the flower and added a Basic Rhinestone to the centre.the edges of the coloured card used inside were die cut using the Finishing Touches edges.
The sentiment is from the Bloom With Hope set and was die cut using the Labels collection. All for now, Joanne x

Traveler 2

For this one l stamped the train in Basic Black first on the middle of my Whisper White mat and layer. Firstly l took a piece of copier paper and covered the train and on one side and with a blending tool and Old Olive l made a green back ground to represent the grass banking. On the other side l kept the train covered but tilted the copier paper and blended the colour again. I used a water brush and used a little Old Olive colour to make a grassy edge. I cut myself a circle out of a post it note and and stuck it to the top of the card. l used So Saffron to infill the circle using a blending tool, l removed the post it note which left me the sun shape. I then made myself a cloud shape out of card board and using some screwed up cotton wool and dabbing it in Marina Mist l dabbed around the cloud shape whilst l was happy with the depth of colour. l moved the cloud shape around until l liked the sky.I then went back to the sun and with a little screwed up cotton wool just gently dabbed around with the So Saffron to make it look slightly hazy.

I matted and layered with Daffodil Delight and Old Olive. the sentiment is for Petite Pairs. I finished it off with 3 candy dots. All for now, Joanne x

Bloom With Hope meets Hello There

Well Hello There! Sorry couldn't help myself : ) I must admit there are some wonderful Hostess sets in this new catalogue. For this card I have merged two together Hello There and Bloom With Hope. I've used the Moonlight pad to back the card using two differing pieces. I used Hello Honey ribbon between the papers with a bow to the side.I have pulled out two main colours, Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey, I have used these inks to stamp and then water colour the flowers from the Bloom With Hope set onto Very Vanilla circle discs and contrasting colours already mentioned. The sentiment  is stamped in  Blackberry Bliss with contrasting flowers from the same stamp set in Hello Honey.
I finished with 3 Basic Rhinestones in the top left corner. Hope you like it. Thanks for looking, Joanne x.

Traveler

Here we are then, the very first blog using all new products from the new catalogue. This card is using  the Traveler stamp set. I used Very Vanilla, Crum Cake and Early Expresso card stock to mat and layer. I stamped with Crumb Cake and Sahara Sand using the Work of Art Stamp to make the back ground. I then stamped the train from the Traveler stamp set in Early Expresso. I tied  Linen Thread around the card before matting onto card itself. I used the Chevron punch waste to put on the top left of card and the sentiment is from Petite Pairs.
Take care now, Joanne x
